Now that an Overwatch 2 PvP Beta test has been announced and further details have been revealed, there is no better time to look at what the sequel's maps have in store.

Not only is the franchise's second installment set to bring about a new mode in Push, several hero reworks, the ever so coveted PvE mode, and more, it's also implementing a total of four new maps in the game.

Overwatch's fight will continue to be global with several key cities around the world getting representation in Overwatch 2. So with that in mind, here's everything we know about the new maps so far.

LATEST - New dev post breaks down upcoming Overwatch 2 maps

In a post on April 7, 2022, Blizzard Entertainment broke down and gave their design philosophy for the four brand new maps coming in Overwatch 2.

The maps, namely New Queen Street in Toronto, Colosseo in Rome, Midtown in New York City, and Circuit Royal in Monte Carlo, all will have a very unique feel to them. This is largely in part due to the developers' design philosophy.

New Overwatch 2 Maps

During Overwatch's Developer Stream, we got the chance to look at several new locations in-game. What you're going to see below is straight from the source, but this doesn't guarantee that the maps will remain looking like this when the game eventually releases.

We can imagine that Blizzard is going to run a sweep or two to make sure things are as balanced as they can be.

New York City - Hybrid Map

Firstly, we have The Big Apple. The New York City map looks like it will offer a comfortable mix of long sightlines and flanking routes to make this equally as exciting for Widowmaker, Hanzo, Genji, and Tracer.

Grand Central Station, Engine 11, and Jephs Corner Pizza are just three of the POI in this new location.

Toronto - Push Map

Next up, we got a brand new look at Toronto. New-Hero Sojourn deserves some representation, right? As a Push map, the main feature of this location is the central U-Bend path. This is a flankers dream and will make protecting your Tank vital.

The Hotel Montebianco, bright Maple Leaf Trees, and parody-cafe Tim Fordsons are just some of the POIs in this new map.

Rome - Push Map

Rome, one of Europe's most beautiful cities, is finally coming to Overwatch and has been revealed as one of the new Overwatch 2 maps. It looks like there's going to be quite a few tight spots in Rome; You'll need to keep your guard up to avoid getting caught out.

Rome's iconic Colosseum is a key feature of this map, but the numerous beautiful fountains and Zephyrus vs Maximus are both being penned as POIs.

Monte Carlo - Escort Map

The luxurious Monte Carlo is the fourth map that was revealed during Blizzard's Development Update recently. Each stage of the map is going to force both Attackers and Defenders to adapt their playstyle to ensure victory.

Auto-Pilot cars line the streets and Flying Yachts cruise overhead. Monte Carlo is full of bright lights and sparkles.

Rio de Janeiro - Escort Map

Lastly, we got a better look at Rio de Janeiro's representation in Overwatch 2. The narrow Favela streets are counterbalanced by the open interior of Lucio's club and the sprawling sands of the Rio coastline to offer a fairly balanced map.

Lucio's Club Sinestia is the key POI in Rio, but the Payload has received a Carnival-inspired makeover and we can't wait.
