If you're wondering how you can upgrade your Workbench in Valheim, you're in luck!
In a similar vein to Minecraft, building a Workbench in Valheim allows the player to create certain building tiles and items.
It can also be used to upgrade and repair broken tools; you'll always need one nearby when crafting.

Below, we've got everything you need about crafting and upgrading a Workbench in Valheim.
Building A Workbench
In order to build a Workbench, you will need 10 Wood and a Hammer ( 3 Wood, 2 Stone ).
Wood can be collected via branches or by chopping down trees with a Stone Axe ( 5 Wood, 4 Stone ).

Stones can also be collected from the ground, so it shouldn't take too long to do.

When you have both of the above, you will need to equip the Hammer and RMB to open up the crafting tab.
Here, you'll find the workbench and be prompted to build it.
Covering The Workbench
One thing that makes Valheim somewhat unique is the need for you to provide shelter for your Workbench.
If you're not planning to construct a larger structure, you can use Wood Walls (2 Wood), Thatched Roof ( 2 Wood ), and then a Wood Door ( 4 Wood ) to create a basic hut.

Once the shelter is complete, you are all ready to go with your new Workbench in Valheim! But... What about upgrading it?
Upgrading A Workbench
If you are looking to upgrade your Workbench in Valheim, all you'll need to do is place the specific items needed nearby the Workbench.
These "levelling items" are marked by a star in your Crafting Tab, so you should be able to figure out what you need to build and what you need to build it easily.
