Apex Legends' newest launch trailer, Saviors, has announced the game's next legend, Newcastle.
New Saviors trailer unveils next Apex Legends legend for Season 13
Coming to Apex Legends' Season 13, is the game's next legend, Newcastle, a tank-like shield-wilder.
Real name Jackson Williams, the new legend is Bangalore's lost brother who was long thought dead.
Showcased in the trailer, the legends players know and love drop in for one last Apex Legends match as a last hurrah for Bangalore.
However, unbeknownst to them, Storm Point gets assaulted by a giant sea creature, forcing the group to band together to take it down with the end of the video revealing Newcastle's true identity, much to Bangalore's surprise — maybe now that he's back Bangalore will stick around.
Additionally, the trailer teased alterations and changes to Storm Point, which would be the first time the map receives an update since its launch at the end of 2021. It also announced that a new Stories from the Outlands video will release later this week on April 28, 2022, potentially giving more details on Apex Legends' next legend.
Newcastle leaked abilities
Prior to his announcement, Newcastle had his abilities leaked. They suggested that the new legend would fall into the Defensive category, with his kit revolving around protecting allies be it by covering them from gunfire or reiving them in safe locations.
These are the ability descriptions we have now, though these are yet to be officially confirmed, so things may change come Newcastle's arrival.
Passive: Retrieve The Wounded – Drag downed allies as you revive and protect them with your Revive Shield.
Tactical: Mobile Shield – Throw a controllable drone that creates a moving energy shield.
Ultimate: Castle Wall – Leap and slam to a target ally or area and create a fortified stronghold.
Newcastle will be available when Apex Legends Season 13: Saviors, launches on May 10, 2022.
