Apex Legends' Season 11 update is right around the corner and we have everything you need to know about the new weapon - the CAR SMG. This will be a weapon you might know from Titanfall 2, but Respawn Entertainment is changing things up a little bit for Apex Legends' next update...

TWO AMMO TYPES - But they're not so different

Season 11's CAR SMG is going to use both Light Ammo and Heavy Ammo in an effort to expand its ammo pool in a fight - however, they don't look like they're going to perform differently.

The CAR SMG looks as though it's going to fire at the same speed with the same recoil, whether you're using Light Ammo or Heavy Ammo. This means it's going to have one universal damage output, too.

From what we can see below, it looks like the CAR SMG is going to deal the following damage:

  • Head Damage - 20
  • Body Damage - 13
  • Leg Damage - 10

You can check out the inspect animation and firing modes below for yourself, too.

NEW WEAPON - The CAR SMG is coming...

" A flexible weapon, the C.A.R. SMG is the gun for when you’re ready to make a stand and become the last Legend still standing."

Following the latest Stories from the Outlands short, Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that Apex Legends Season 11 is going to feature the CAR SMG. It should be added to the loot pool and thrown into the Arenas weapon rotation from the start of Season 11.

FROM TITANFALL WITH LOVE - This should pack a punch!

We don't know how it'll perform just yet, but another trailer is due to drop on October 21st - expect to see more from the CAR SMG then. We're guessing it's going to use Light Ammo like the R99, though.

SEASON 11 - When does it all kick-off?

Respawn Entertainment has not confirmed when Season 11 is due to drop, but that doesn't mean we don't know.

Apex Legends' current season - Season 10: Emergence - is due to end on November 2nd. With this in mind, we are confident in suggesting that November 2nd is going to be the start date for Apex Legends Season 11: Escape.

Specifically speaking, the new season should be released at the following times - if Respawn Entertainment keeps to their previously-used update schedules.

  • 10:00 PST
  • 13:00 EST
  • 18:00 BST

As we've mentioned above, a new trailer is dropping on October 21st - expect to see confirmation of this following that trailer.
