How to unlock the new MG 82 Light Machine Gun in Black Ops & Warzone

There's a new kid on the block and he fires a lot of bullets very quickly. The MG 82 is an evolution of the MG 42 in the best possible way and we've got everything you need to know about how you can get it in Call of Duty Season 4.

Here's how to unlock the MG 82 LMG; It's not going to take you too long, thankfully.

How To Unlock The MG 82

As always, there are two ways to unlock a new weapon in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Firstly, you can purchase a Store Bundle with a Weapon Blueprint for the MG 82.

We don't have all the details about what new Store Bundles will be added to the rotation at the start of Season 4, but we're fully expecting to see at least one with the MG 82 at the forefront. They can also appear in Operator Bundles too, so keep your eyes out!

Alternatively, if you're saving your COD Points for something special... You can actually unlock the MG 82 LMG for free via the Season 4 Battle Pass. All you need to do is reach Tier 15 and the new Light Machine Gun is yours for the taking. Dedicated players can clear this in a week, but it won't take too long if you haven't got the time for that.

When Does Season 4 Start?

Now we know HOW you can unlock the MG 82 LMG, we need to know WHEN you can unlock it.

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone might have staggered update and install times, but the Season 4 content is due to go live at the same time across both games. You can start earning Battle Pass Tiers from 21:00 PST (June 16) / 00:00 EST / 05:00 BST on June 17th. As long as you're earning XP on Call of Duty, you'll be making progress.

The MG 82 isn't the only thing coming to Black Ops Cold War and Warzone in Season 4, though. There's going to be three new Operators, another four new weapons, new Zombies content and a whole lot more.
