MW2 2009 Shipment

Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded is right around the corner, bringing tons of new content to Multiplayer as well as Warzone 2. There's also still plenty of time to grind through the Battle Pass, and towards the new level cap, which won't be increasing with the mid-season update.

Shipment is one of the most iconic and loved maps in Call of Duty history, and for good reason: it's great fun and accessible to all, as well as being a haven for camo grinding. Here's everything you need to know about when it will arrive in Modern Warfare 2.

The map will also be getting a hefty visual overhaul for the festive period, beginning December 21st, through to January 4th. There's lots more planned for the Xmas period too, so stay tuned for more information.

MW2 Shipment Release Date

Shipment will be coming to Modern Warfare 2 later on in Season 1, currently listed as a mid-season release in the Call of Duty blog. We can assume it may drop with Season 1 reloaded, the usual mid-season update.

Season 1 Reloaded will go live on December 14th, and hopefully, Shipment will be a part of the update content. If you're waiting on Shipment for some camo grinding though (so are we) you won't have to long to wait.

The new version of Shipment is, for the first time, actually located on a ship, with the stunning visuals we've come to expect from Modern Warfare 2. The rest of the map seems relatively unchanged, however, which is good news for fans.

Why is Shipment so Popular?

Shipment has always been the best map for fast-faced, close-quarters fighting, where you can't take your eye off the ball for even a second. Modern Warfare 2's version will be no different, and could even have an exciting twist.

If you're looking to grind camos for pistols or shotguns it can also be the perfect spot, as in all the chaos it's easier to catch people off guard. Objective game modes on Shipment can get particularly chaotic.
