Many of these guns will be familiar to players from previous Call of Duty titles, so you can pick up right where you left off.

Also making its first appearance since Call of Duty: WW2 is the firing range, so you can try out new guns and new attachments without having to take them into a game.

Modern Warfare 2 Gunsmith

Although we don't have many details so far about the upcoming gun customisation options, it seems as though the gunsmith system will look similar to Modern Warfare 2019.

Players will only be able to choose 5 attachments to augment their favourite weapons, but there will be an additional tuning system to alter how those attachments function in-game.

So whether you're trying to rank up the battle pass, or just dishing out damage with the best weapons available, you can make your weapon your own.

Modern Warfare 2 will be playable in the open beta sooner than you might think. It will first release for PS4 and PS5 users on the 16th of September, and for Xbox and PC players a week later on the 22nd of September.
