When does Destiny 2 come back online?

It's time—Destiny 2: Lightfall is finally here. And as always with a new expansion, the developers at Bungie have to take Destiny 2's servers down for maintenance to implement all of the new content and features.

Normally, every Tuesday, Destiny 2's servers go down for a handful of hours, sometimes adding on a couple more depending of there's a new update or not. However, this time around, the servers were scheduled to go down for 24 hours.

That being said - When does Destiny 2 come back online? Here's what players need to know.

When does Destiny 2 come back online?

Destiny 2's servers have been down since Monday, February 27, 2023, as the popular FPS title ushers its newest expansion, Lightfall.

Players should expect the game's servers to be back up on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at around 12:00 p.m. EST, exactly 24 hours after they initially went down for maintenance.

Below are the release times for other timezones:

  • NA West: Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. PST.
  • Europe: Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. CET
  • United Kingdom: Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. GMT
  • China: Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 1:00 a.m. BJT
  • Australia: Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 3:00 a.m. AUS

Once players log in, they'll be able to enjoy everything that the Lightfall expansion offers. This content includes new features like an in-game LFG system, saveable premade in-game loadouts, changes to crafting, the new Strand Subclass, and much more.

Additionally, as always with a new expansion, players will have a new story to follow, a new raid to go through, and content.
