EA Sports has ended its partnership with FIFA and has given us EA FC 24 as a result. This new title aims to bring necessary change to the world of football gaming, with EA stamping its mark as an individual entity.

With early access in full swing, and the official global release coming on Friday, we have a ton of content to help start your Ultimate Team journey, from guides on the Relentless Winger and Golden Glow Up Evolutions, to the best value players in EA FC 24, we have it all!

A key part of Ultimate Team is the Web App, sometimes referred to as the Companion App, and we've got you covered for everything you need to know about this year's release, including how to download it on mobile devices, how to verify your EA FC 24 login, and much more.

Companion App official release

The EA FC 24 Companion App was released on mobile devices on 22 September, the same day as early access. This gives EA FC fans a chance to take their game anywhere, as long as you have an internet connection on your phone.

SBCs, Objectives, and the Transfer Market are all accessible through the Companion App, as well as the newest UT feature, Evolutions!

EA did not make a new app for EA FC 24 and instead gave the FIFA 23 Companion App a fresh update.

EA FC 24 Web App

The EA FC 24 Web App went live a few days prior to early access, and every person wanting to play the game has access to it! Whether you have pre-ordered EA FC 24, or you are going to buy it at a later date, you are still able to access the Web App.

You may find it easier to complete Squad Building Challenges (SBC) in the Web App too.

The Web App layout simplifies the SBC process with more detailed filters so if you are grinding through SBCs, this is the way to go.

You can open packs, buy and sell players on the transfer market, and make sure everything in your club is in tip-top shape.

You can also complete some objectives on the Web App, that include SBCs or your squad, which is a great way to get started. However, you are not able to play matches on the Web App.

Starting tips

When opening the Web App for the first time, players are given the option of nine home and away kits, and also nine badges to choose from. We recommend that you either choose kits and a badge from top teams, like Real Madrid, or PSG, or pick Gold Rare options if you don't see a top team. These all quick sell for around 485 coins, making you a nice bit of profit straight away!

This money can be put towards the Foundations SBCs, which are very simple to complete, and also part of the objectives!

When completing these SBCs, be aware that the more you do, the more players from the same nation and club you will need, so if you have two English players from Blackpool FC, then keep hold of them until the requirements ask for two players from the same nation, and club.

Known bugs in the Web App

Since the release of the Web App, fans have noticed a few bugs, with Reddit user u/mrblue6 giving great advice for starting on the Web App.

However, there were a few problems that fans spotted whilst getting started. These were largely based on the Foundation's Objectives, which give you a small amount of coins, or packs, as a reward for completing some tasks. These include applying a contract to a player or completing an SBC.

One such objective is to get over 12, and over 18 chemistry in your squad. This is fairly simple to do, as your starter squad will be dominated by players from one nation, however, when people completed the task, they were not being rewarded.

Players were unable to change their club name too, which is another objective. With these bugs, EA FC Web App users were missing out on a free chemistry style, a bronze pack, and a silver pack. All of which are very beneficial at the start of the game cycle.

However, EA has fixed these issues now, just in time for the official release of EA FC 24 on 29 September.

How to download the Companion App

If you want the iOS or Android version of the EA FC 24 Companion App for your mobile you can search for it via the App Store on your device.

Just head to the Apple App Store, or Google Play Store, and search for 'EA Sports Companion App.' Make sure that you are logging into the official EA Companion App as there may be unofficial - and useless - clone apps in the store.

Alternatively, you can simply log in via the official EA FC 24 Web App if you're planning on creating squads on your PC.

Web App vs Companion App - which is better?

Don't worry about it, there is no meaningful difference, these terms are just used by veteran EA players to distinguish the browser version and the native-mobile Companion App, which offers the best experience on mobile devices.
