EA FC 24 is coming this year, with the game marking the start of a new era for the titular developer.

Splitting away from FIFA, EA FC 24 will be a brand-new game that combines all the classic features with new innovations to take the genre forward.

One such innovation that has been built upon is the impressive license portfolio that EA boasts.

Despite their split from FIFA, EA has managed to retain all of the licenses included in FIFA 23 and even added a few new competitions.

With that in mind, let's take a look at all the latest EA Sports FC 24 licenses.

Latest - PepsiCo & Nike sponsorships

EA Sports has signed two massive partnerships heading into EA FC 24 that have gotten fans buzzing!

EA FC 24 licenses

Licenses may seem a trivial part of the game, but the truth is that they can turn people off the game before they have even given it a try! Squabbles for licenses have never been more fierce than in recent years, with Konami, EA Sports, and many other games battling for exclusivity over the game's top players, leagues, and clubs.

In recent seasons, eFootball has claimed some major leagues and teams from EA, with several Serie A sides taking the side of the free-to-play game. EA holds the majority though, and that will stay the same for now.

Once again fans of Europe's biggest competitions will be delighted, as EA has retained the licenses for all four UEFA tournaments.

EA introduced the CONMEBOL competitions in FIFA 20, giving realism to South America's greatest tournaments. For those unaware of what the Libertadores, Sudamericana, and Recopa are, it's essentially the Champions League and Europa League of South America, with the winner of each competition playing in a separate final - like the Super Cup - for the CONMEBOL Recopa trophy.

  • CONMEBOL Sudamericana
  • CONMEBOL Recopa

The women's game is rapidly gaining popularity around the world, and with that comes two new leagues introduced by EA in the new game.

Germany's Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga will feature all 12 teams in the country's top division including incredible players such as Alexandra Popp, and Georgia Stanway to name a few.

Featuring as a part of EA's official title sponsorship of the Spanish La Liga, is also Liga F, the top women's division in Spain.

Not only is this home to many of the World Cup winners, but also home to UEFA Champions League winners' Barcelona too!

  • Barclays FA Women’s Super League
  • D1 Arkema

THE RETURN - Premier League players will be back for EA Sports FC

So, what does this actually mean for EA Sports FC 24 itself? The new game will have the rights to all 20 Premier League clubs and everything that comes with them. FC 24 will feature legitimate Premier League club names, players, kits, badges, and stadiums for players to enjoy.

La Liga expansion

EA Sports signed a major sponsorship deal with La Liga several months ago, making them the new major sponsor for the league.

What this means for EA Sports' FC 24 is that not only is EA FC 24 the home of La Liga football, but also the official title sponsor of the league.

Players have access to all of the biggest stars in La Liga throughout every game mode and are able to "enjoy an immersive broadcast package that delivers 360° of LALIGA atmosphere in every match."

“EA SPORTS FC is committed to delivering the most authentic and immersive experiences in global football," said David Jackson, VP Brand, EA SPORTS FC.

"Our innovative new partnership with LaLiga further elevates that ambition and solidifies both organizations' position at the centre of football culture.

“The visible reach and scale of this partnership is deeply exciting, as is the opportunity to deliver incredible experiences for fans through in-game innovation, interactive entertainment, and grassroots initiatives.”

Leagues missing from EA Sports FC 24

Despite EA Sports' extensive and impressive list of licensed leagues from all around the globe, there are still leagues that have either featured in previous games or that fans would like to see in EA FC 24.

Brazil is a hub for talented young stars, allowing the FIFA world to discover the likes of Neymar, Casemiro, and Lucas Moura, plus many more!

However in recent years, EA's licensing issues with the league meant that they can use the clubs badges and kits, but they have no player image rights.

Casemiro in FIFA 23

It seems as if this could be the same again, where we see the Brazilian league in FC 24, but with generic players who aren't actually real.

Other mentionable leagues would be the J League, where Ange Postecoglou learned his trade, its last appearance on FIFA 22.

As with the Croatian and Greek leagues too, Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos feature on the video game but in the Rest of the World section.

Perhaps one day, EA FC will have every top league in the game, but it's a lot easier said than done.
