EA FC 24 Demo: No free trial again!

We've had some huge announcements, but will we get an EA FC 24 demo this year? The new game is just around the corner and will mark a new era in football gaming, but it doesn't look like there will be a return to the old ways of marketing the game.

This year's title is EA's first footballing foray since their split with FIFA and fans are eager to see what changes will be made. Although once again EA did not release a demo ahead of the newest release for the fourth year running, so is this goodbye to demos?

With that in mind, let's take a look at everything we know about the EA Sports FC demo.

EA FC 24 demo

After a nearly 50-minute reveal livestream, EA has revealed plenty of information from an official release date to a new cover star. One thing that didn't get mentioned anywhere was a demo.

For many years, EA used to release a free demo version of FIFA a couple of weeks before the game's full launch. The demo gave players a chance to experience some of the nuanced changes made with a select number of playable teams.

FIFA demos were usually the kick-off mode only, allowing players to get a feel for the new gameplay and graphic improvements made to the game.

However, things changed a few years ago when no demo was released before the arrival of FIFA 21. This was the first time in many years we'd seen no demo and that trend continued into the release of FIFA 22 and FIFA 23.

Taking its place, in some form at least, was the beta version of the game, a closed invite-only edition that permitted a select number of players access to the new game's major modes.

And EA has continued this with EA FC 24 releasing the beta on the 10 August, with it ending on the 31 August. So, once again there is no demo.

EA Sports FC release date

EA is sticking to its usual cycle this year, and the official release date is set for Friday, 29 September 2023. That means you've got all weekend to win the Champions League and build your Ultimate Team squad.

If you can't wait that long, then pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition before 22 August will get you a massive SEVEN days of early access. This means you can start playing from 22 September.
