It's official, Carniball is coming to FIFA 21.

FIFA have confirmed that the colourful event will be heading to FIFA Mobile tomorrow, but what does that mean for the console edition of the football sim?

Carniball's Back

It's the news we've all been hoping for, Carniball is making an appearance in FIFA 21.

EA confirmed the news on their official FIFA Mobile account this evening.

As of now, it is only FIFA Mobile that has had the promotion officially revealed, but what does this mean for the promo's potential arrival on PlayStation and Xbox?

Carniball coming to FUT?

Despite many presuming the Winter Refresh would be on its way, EA didn't release any major promotional content last Friday.

The ICON Swaps 2 arrived in Ultimate Team, but there was no successor to the Future Stars promo.

That means that the door is ajar for a promo to arrive this week, and it looks like Carniball could be the one on its way.

Release Date

Carniball didn't feature on FIFA 20, so understandably it's release this year was in doubt.

But the confirmation of a FIFA Mobile release has got tails wagging.

The FUT 19 edition came on March 8, so a release this Friday (February 26) would be a little early in comparison, but not a million miles out.

What to Expect

In a nutshell, plenty of colourful, vibrant new cards, with some massive upgrades.

The promotional event focuses on a host of major celebrations from eight different countries around the world, namely.

  • Brazil
  • France
  • Belgium
  • Italy
  • Argentina
  • USA
  • Spain
  • Germany

So expect to see players from these eight countries feature, with some end-game level cards that will remain in and around your starting eleven for the remainder of the FIFA year.
