FIFA 21 FUT Freeze: What can we expect from the FUTMAS replacement? - ICON Swaps, SBCs, TOTY & more

Release Date

Freeze looks to be the wintery promo this year, and it will kick off on Friday, 11 December.

The FUTMAS promo has released loads of SBCs in the past, so we expect Freeze to offer the same.

SBCs

Last year saw a total of 24 SBC cards released during the FUTMAS promo event.

Freeze looks set to follow the same trend, although we know it will just be the one SBC player each day!

Last year followed a pattern too. The players included in the promo event were selected from the rank of their teams from the previous season.

For example, the first player released could be released from the top ranked national team (Belgium).

ICON Swaps

ICON Swaps are making a return during the winter Freeze!

For those who don't know, ICON Swaps allow you to earn tokens through completing objectives.

These tokens can then be used to claim ICONs and pack rewards too.

EA confirmed these will be coming to FIFA 21, and they will arrive this week.

TOTY

We have seen the Team of the Year (TOTY) linked with FUTMAS in the past, so is it coming sooner than we think?

TOTY always includes some of the world's greatest players, so there are great cards up for grabs!

The likes of Virgil van Dijk, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo all recieved 99 OVR cards last year.
