Brilliant Bale in line for TOTW 23 appearance & OTW boost

The What If promo is now live, but how are things shaping up as far as TOTW is concerned?

The 23rd instalment of the weekly promo is set to arrive in FIFA later this week, but who can we expect to see?

Bale's Back

It's been a tough couple of years for Gareth Bale.

The Welshman fell out of favour at the Bernabeu and after a move to China fell through at the eleventh hour, Bale returned home.

Bale's Spurs comeback hasn't been as routine as many had hoped, but things look to be on the up now.

The 31-year-old ran the show on Sunday afternoon as Spurs thrashed Burnley 4-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, putting himself in pole position for a first TOTW appearance of the year.

TOTW 23

Two goals and an assist in Spurs' big win should be enough to earn Bale a spot in TOTW 23, which is scheduled for release on Wednesday, March 3.

It will be the first in-form that the Welshman has received since his Spurs return, and with an 83-rated base card, we can expect to see an 84/85 OVR on Bale's TOTW card.

We'd expect to see Bale jump into the 90's as far as his pace is concerned, with a significant boost to his shooting as he rolled back the years with a sumptuous finish to put Spurs 4-0 up early in the second period.

Bale's underwhelming dribbling and passing would improve somewhat, but they would fall short of anything that would warrant a significant fee on the transfer market.

We're expecting this card to trade for between 100-150k if it arrives on Wednesday evening.

OTW Upgrade

It's good news for those who invested in Bale's Ones to Watch card too, as that looks set to be upgraded in line with the potential TOTW arrival.

At the time of writing, Bale's OTW card is trading for around 170k on the transfer market, but expect to see that price fluctuate quite significantly throughout the week as the TOTW hype grows.

If Bale is selected, then you can expect to see his OTW price surge significantly on Wednesday evening, but then it should drop once the hype dies down.
