The What If promo has been a huge success so far for EA, with the FUT community loving the upgrade links to real life.
The second squad of the event was released on Friday, 5 March, with some awesome new cards added to packs.

The What If promo has continued into its second week, with Team 2 now available in packs.
Dries Mertens is the highest-rated player in the team boasting an 89 OVR, which could increase to 91.
However, we think one of the key men in the new squad is Leicester and Portugal right back Ricardo Pereira.

Ricardo Pereira
Full backs are becoming increasingly more important in the modern game, and also on FIFA.
Many players are opting for a five at the back approach which requires your full backs to offer something at both ends of the pitch.
Ricardo Pereira offers that and more. Pereira boasts 88 Pace, 91 Stamina and 85 Crossing, ticking all the boxes for a full back.
He is also solid defensively with 87 Standing Tackle, so at a little over 400,000 coins he seems like the real deal.

Chemistry Links
If, like us, you went and added the Flashback Cristiano Ronaldo to your squad, then it’s likely you need a Portuguese right back to link him to the rest of the team.
Joao Cancelo is an option, but we think the new What If Ricardo Pereira is the man to get, especially as he could quickly become an 89 OVR.
Pereira also creates perfect links with Leicester teammate Wesley Fofana who is still available to unlock as part of the Future Stars Academy set.
Another Future Star, Ruben Dias, would also be a great link for Pereira.
Alternative Players
As mentioned above, Joao Cancelo is the obvious choice as an alternative, but the City man is currently more expensive.
Add in Pereira’s likely upgrade, and it seems a no brainer to bring the Leicester man into your squad instead of Cancelo.
If you just want a Serie A link, then Future Stars Diogo Dalot is the way to go and for a fraction of the price.
Available for less than 40k, Dalot is better physically and can free up funds for another position.
