FIFA 22 Best American Wonderkids: Reyna & Clark will be TOP playmakers

America isn't the first place you think of when looking for top class footballers, but that doesn't mean they aren't there, as this wonderkids list will show.

With many of them playing in the MLS, you can pick up a real bargain in your Career Mode thanks to the lower valuation and wages of players in that region.

So, find out who the best American wonderkids in FIFA 22 are, to supersize the potential of your squad.

What makes a wonderkid?

For a real wonderkid you have to be a teenager upon FIFA 22's release, so only players aged 19 or younger at the start of Career Mode will be included.

Giovanni Reyna (OVR 77 - POT 87)

Giovanni Reyna combines the usual traits you would expect of a CAM, good skill on the ball and agility, with a bit more of a physical presence at 6'1" with 75 Strength.

He is getting a lot of game time at Borussia Dortmund and contributing with goals, which will only improve his development.

Caden Clark (OVR 66 - POT 86)

Another American CAM who will look to take his chance in the Bundesliga, Caden Clark has played all his football in the MLS so far, averaging a goal involvement every three games.

RB Leipzig signed him (loaning him back to original club New York Red Bulls), showing they believe he could flourish with them in the Bundesliga.

Konrad de la Fuente (OVR 68 - POT 82)

Konrad de la Fuente came through the Barcelona youth system, and even got some minutes for the first team, becoming the first American to do so for the club.

Now at Marseille, he is a winger with a good turn of speed and quality on the ball to get past players before whipping in a cross.

Ricardo Pepi (OVR 64 - POT 82)

Ricardo Pepi has pretty average stats across the board and will probably suffer by not being a specialist in anything.

As a striker, his 72 Finishing and 72 Positioning are his best attributes, but he will need a lot of improvement to become useable.

Justin Che (OVR 63 - POT 82)

A teammate of Pepi at FC Dallas, Justin Che is a right-back that will probably be best converted to a CB.

He doesn't have great crossing or other attributes you would want for a RB to get forward but could be a decent ball-playing CB with a bit of pace too.

Joe Scally (OVR 62 - POT 82)

Joe Scally has played every game for Borussia Monchengladbach, with his adaptability meaning he has started at RB, LB and RM.

He keeps up the usual trope that American players are physically strong, with decent movement and agility, but slightly low defensive qualities.

Yunus Musah (OVR 71 - POT 82)

A rapid right-midfielder, already with 88 PAC, Yunus Musah made appearances for England at youth level before switching allegiance to America.

He is good on the ball, and although not the best at finishing, can hit a powerful long shot.

Gianluca Busio (OVR 67 - POT 81)

Gianluca Busio switched the MLS for Serie A and has helped his team out with a goal and assist from midfield since his move.

He is very nimble at 5'7" and would probably be best used as a CAM as his playmaking stats are better than his defensive ones.

Cade Cowell (OVR 64 - POT 80)

A designated striker, Cade Cowell has only managed five goals and five assists in 46 MLS games, so he is being moved onto the wings regularly.

He has 84 PAC and 82 Strength, which will cause defenders trouble, but his 63 Finishing will need boosting.

Yaya Toure (OVR 59 - POT 79)

No, not THAT Yaya Toure, Dantouma Yaya Toure is a winger that has all the movement attributes in place to make him a real nuisance to defenders.

Get him on the right development plan, because with 90 Acceleration, 86 Sprint Speed, 89 Agility, and 92 Balance already, he will be hard to stop.
