FIFA 22: Future Icons included in eight players added to FUT database

We are deep into the FIFA 22 Ultimate Team cycle, but there are still fresh updates being brought to the database.

Eight new players are set to be added to the game for the first time this season, and they are all familiar faces!

Some of the new arrivals look ideal for Flashback SBC items too, so keep an eye out for them arriving sooner rather than later!

Offline squads are updated much more regularly than the FUT database, so we have seen some of these players in FIFA 22 already.

However, they are set for their first appearance in Ultimate Team this season, and some excellent new special items could follow.

Barcelona right-back Dani Alves is arguably the highest-profile name in the list, and he has the potential to be a future Icon in FUT when he does hang up his boots.

Franck Ribery is another former European superstar, and we have seen a Flashback item for him before.

New arrivals

We don't know their official Ultimate Team stats just yet, but we have taken their current offline ratings and predicted what we think they will be.

Dani Alves (OVR 77)

He's back, and we are just counting down the days until Dani Alves receives a Flashback SBC.

His base card is unlikely to pull up any trees, but we are just here for the special items!

Andre Onana (OVR 83)

Ajax's goalkeeper has spent much of this season serving a doping ban, only recently starting his first league game for Ajax in 2022.

Onana has been a quality GK in FUT before, so we expect him to have a rating of 83.

Franck Ribery (OVR 79)

France legend Franck Ribery has already received a Flashback SBC in Ultimate Team, but not in FIFA 22!

Playing for Salernitana in Serie A, Ribery will likely feature in a promo event at some stage.

Radamel Falcao (OVR 78)

Radamel Falcao has scored five goals in La Liga this season, so it is a bit of a surprise that it has taken this long for EA to add him to the game.

Once one of Europe's most clinical finishers, don't be surprised to see Falcao feature in a promo before the end of the season.

Jerome Boateng (OVR 82)

The highest-rated outfield player among the new faces, Boateng is usually a solid FUT card and will be handy for any Ligue 1 objectives.

Serge Aurier (OVR 79)

A bit of a strange one. Serge Aurier left Spurs without much noise and has now popped up in Spain with Villareal. Weird.

Daniel Sturridge (OVR 75)

Formerly part of Liverpool's deadly attack alongside Raheem Sterling and Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge is now plying his trade down under with Perth Glory.

Andy Carroll (OVR 71)

There was once a time when Andy Carroll was unstoppable in FIFA. That time has long since passed, but we would still love a Silver Stars Carroll anyway!
