The Fantasy FUT promo is into its second and final week in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, but EA has still managed to add even more cards to the event!
Three new cards are now in packs alongside the rest of Team 2, with all three great new midfield options.
All the Fantasy FUT cards have the potential to earn an increase of up to +3, so they can get even better!
Mini Release
A master midfield has been unveiled as the mini-release for the Fantasy FUT promo this week.
All three players are top-class operators in the middle of the park, and with upgrades available, they can reach some insane stats.
Lyon's Houssem Aouar will catch the eye of many for his French links, so he is the star of the show.
Mikel Merino is a new member of the Gullit Gang (all base stats above 80), while Edson Alvarez is a fun option for anyone looking to add to their Eredivisie sides.
Houssem Aouar (OVR 90)
By far and away the best pick of the mini-release, Houssem Aouar possesses excellent pace alongside his brilliant attacking attributes.
With the French/Ligue 1 meta, we expect Aouar to go down a treat!
Mikel Merino (OVR 87)
Another addition to this season's Gullit Gang.
Mikel Merino's new FUT item boasts some impressive stats already, but he has the potential to reach 90 OVR if he earns all three available upgrades.
Edson Alvarez (OVR 87)
The most defensive option of the three mini-release players, Edson Alvarez will slot perfectly into any Eredivisie side in FUT 22.
His unpopular Mexican links should keep his price low too, so you may just be able to bag yourself a bargain!
Fantasy FUT
Fantasy FUT brings a new dimension of live, dynamic item to FUT 22, with big initial boosts and - starting Friday, 1 April - the chance for players to earn up to +3 OVR upgrades based on their individual contributions.
Fantasy FUT players will earn a +1 OVR upgrade if they make three appearances in their next five domestic league games, as well as a +1 OVR upgrade if they make an appearance in a team win in one of their next five domestic league games.
The third potential +1 OVR upgrade is based on players’ individual performance in their specific position:
- For attackers and midfielders, one goal or assist in their next five domestic league games
- For defenders and goalkeepers, one clean sheet in their next five domestic league games
The first Fantasy FUT squad is available in packs from Friday, 18 March until Friday, 25 March in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, with the second to follow straight away from Friday, 25 March until Friday, 1 April.
