FIFA 22: How do 'What If' cards work in Ultimate Team?

The Future Stars campaign is well underway in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, with the Team 1 cards out now in packs.

However, it looks like the What If promo is set to arrive soon, so you'll need to know how the new live cards work in FUT 22.

How do 'What If' cards work?

According to reports, the What IF promo is on its way back into Ultimate Team this year.

If the What If cards are the same as last year's, they will be 'live' cards which means they can be upgraded after they are released.

What If players are boosted dynamic items that are eligible for an additional one-time +2 OVR upgrade if their team fulfils 'What If' scenarios based on real-life football criteria.

In FUT 21, Attackers & Midfielders were upgraded if the player’s club scored at least six total goals in the five domestic league game period.

On the other side of the pitch, Defenders & Goalkeepers were upgraded if the player’s club kept at least one clean sheet over the five domestic league game period.

Future Stars Team 1

The Future Stars Team 1 players are in packs in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team right now.

Jude Bellingham and Dusan Vlahovic are of course the stars, but there are plenty of top cards here and any Future Star you can get your hands on should be a great asset to your side.

Arsenal fans will be happy to see Emile Smith Rowe rewarded with a brilliant 91 OVR card that can play upfront or in midfield.

Co-Premier League stars Ibrahima Konate, Francisco Trincao and Joao Pedro are all included too.
