Mbappe set to become the most expensive player in FUT 22

Kylian Mbappe is always one of the most sought after players in Ultimate Team, along with PSG teammate Neymar.

So, how much will the Frenchman be worth at the start of FIFA 22?

How many coins is Mbappe in FUT 22?

Mbappe is a player that everybody wants to pack in Ultimate Team!

At the start of FIFA 21, Kylian Mbappe was valued at 1.5 million coins on PlayStation and 1.3 million coins on Xbox.

If Mbappe receives the rating upgrade that we think he will, his price could be as high as 2 million coins at the start of the FUT 22 game cycle.

The reason for Mbappe's high price is due to his 'meta' attributes - these include brilliant pace, great agility and balance and also five-star skill moves.

When is FIFA 22 coming out?

FIFA 22 is still a couple of months away from release, so we do not have an official release date just yet.

FIFA 21 was slightly delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but this should not impact this year’s release date.

Judging by previous editions of the game, we are expecting FIFA 22 to be released in late September, potentially Friday, 24 September.

Unlike FIFA 21, we expect a demo to be released beforehand giving us a first taste of the new game.

Will FIFA 22 be Cross-Platform?

Despite a Next Gen launch for the current FIFA title - FIFA 21 - we've yet to see EA incorporate cross-platform gaming into their hit football sim.

They shut down rumours of cross-play in FIFA 21 fairly swiftly, addressing the question over on social media with the following comment:

"You won't be able to play across console generations or cross-play in FIFA 21"

But how about in FIFA 22? A year down the line from the release of the Next Gen consoles, will now finally be the time to give cross-play the green light?
