FIFA 22 How to score corners: AUDACIOUS training ground routine works

Set-pieces are a huge part of modern football with many clubs now employing a coach specifically to help them out in these situations, but how can you make the most of them in FIFA 22?

The routines you choose depend on what game mode you are in, as we have found it much easier to score from corners (and other set-pieces) when playing offline modes like Career Mode.

Ultimate Team has been a different beast though, so players are having to come up with innovative ways to out-fox their opponents.

How to score from corners

Let's start with the basics. Last season was as simple as firing the ball into the front post. Job done.

This year is less straightforward with more balance between attackers and defenders, and the introduction of Kinetic Air Battles to the game.

The front post run still works but is nowhere near as effective as it was last season. Players online have also learnt how to counter this tactic too (move the GK), so we are in need of an alternative.

A lot of players are taking it short this season and trying to create a chance by dribbling into the box, although this can leave you exposed to a counterattack if you lose the ball.

Offline Offense

It is only in online modes like Ultimate Team and Pro Clubs that we might have to be a little creative from our corner routines.

During our Career Mode, we have dominated the skies, towering above opponents and being first to the ball more often than not.

Whether these headers go in (they rarely do) is another matter, but there is more chance of scoring by keeping it simple and putting a ball in the box.

Keepers seem more reluctant to come off their line in the offline modes, so we would continue to aim between the penalty spot and edge of the six-yard box.

Routine Difficulty - Audacious

In our search for the best corner routines in FIFA 22, we found the most audacious play posted to Reddit by NzauhVI.

First off, call in a second player and take it short, before launching a ball back towards your own half.

Then pick out your star man on the edge of the box with another lofted pass, before slamming home a worldie of a volley and trying not to look too smug.
