FIFA 22 Liquid Summer: BRAND NEW promo will bring more OVERPOWERED cards

The Shapeshifters promo is taking FIFA 22 Ultimate Team by storm, introducing many overpowered players with their positions switched up.

It looks set to have a Team 1 and Team 2 release, then after that, it looks like the next promo will be a new event called Liquid Summer.

Release Date

The Shapeshifters promo is currently running in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, launching on Friday, 17 June at 1pm ET / 6pm BST.

Team 1 is currently in packs, with Team 2 expected on Friday, 24 June, and staying in packs for a further week, before rotating out on Friday, 1 July.

That means we could see the Liquid Summer promo pick up from Shapeshifters, with a squad coming to packs on Friday, 1 July at 1pm ET / 6pm BST.

It looks like this could be another two-week promo, with Team 2 dropping on Friday, 8 July, running for a further week, and leaving packs on Friday, 15 July.

Liquid Summer

Liquid Summer is the name of a possible new promo coming to FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, taking over from the Festival of FUTball event we saw last year.

The FoF promo was in celebration of international tournaments over the summer, with the Euros and Copa American taking place, so it was unlikely to see a return this season.

We are expecting the FUTTIES event to be released again this game, so Liquid Summer looks to be filling the gap to take us into that promo.

Being a new event we don't know what exactly to expect, but as usual, it should involve massive card boosts, with a squad released into packs, some objective players made available when the event kicks off, as well as a few SBCs coming throughout the campaign.

It is being reported as a two-week promo, although this is still in the very early stages, so we cannot say that for sure, or event that the promo is going to drop!

With FUTTIES seeing the re-release of fan-favourite and 'Best Of' players, Liquid Summer will likely be the last promo to bring some original players to the game.
