FIFA 22: EA rewards Arsenal success & hands almost ENTIRE squad upgrades


Arsenal's recent resurgence has not gone unnoticed by EA, with several players receiving upgrades in the latest FIFA 22 ratings update.

All four of the young attacking Gunners quartet have been boosted, alongside lots of the more experienced players too.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was also awarded the Premier League Manager of the Month award for March after the North Londoners won three matches from four.

Academy products producing

Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe have stolen the limelight this season for the Gunners.

The pair both made their first-team debuts back in 2018 and, fast forward four years, they are now two of the biggest stars at Arsenal Football Club.

Starting with Arsenal's number seven, who has scored nine goals and registered five assists in 28 games in the Premier League.

EA has rewarded the England international with yet another +1 rating and improved stats across the board, with Saka now reaching 82 OVR in FIFA 22.

Fellow Hale End academy graduate, Smith Rowe has nine goals and two assists in 24 games, with his best spell coming between October and December 2021, getting four goals in six matches.

The 21-year-old has been boosted to an 80 OVR card in FIFA 22 and is one step closer to reaching his full potential and is edging nearer his 91-rated Future Stars card.

Young Guns firing

Two more Arsenal youngsters have been in brilliant form this season.

20-year-old Gabriel Martinelli and 22-year-old Martin Odegaard have been integral to the recent success of the team.

Norway international captain Odegaard looks to be the signing of the summer, with Arsenal having paid just £30 million for the playmaker.

Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli has dazzled the Emirates crowd with his pace, skills and clinical finishing this season.

He’s been given 18 appearances in the league this season, and more often than not, has returned with either a goal or an assist, with eight contributions in front of goal.

EA has handed the youngster a +1 OVR to make the youngster a 78-rated card in FIFA 22, with significant boosts coming to his dribbling and stamina.

Solid as a rock

Arsenal's good run of form is mainly due to Arteta's side finding consistency in defence.

The Gunners have accumulated 13 clean sheets this season, with only Man City and Liverpool keeping the ball out of their net on more occasions.

The partnership of Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White has been key to this defensive stability, along with Aaron Ramsdale's excellent form.

The Brazilian centre-half has been simply outstanding for Arsenal this season and is clearly the leader in the heart of the defence.

Gabriel has been handed boosts in several departments including strength, heading, marking and tackling.

High-profile summer signing Ben White has silenced the critics and compliments his CB partner, Gabriel perfectly with brilliant ball-playing ability.

White has been upgraded to a 79 OVR card in FIFA 22, with significant boosts coming to his long passing, vision and tackling.

The likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Albert Sambi Lokonga have all been handed upgrades too.
