The Shapeshifters promo has returned in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, taking over from the Team of the Season campaign.
Team 1 has been and gone, with Team 2 seeing some more players with their positions switched up.

The second of a potential FOUR Shapeshifters teams has dropped in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.
Team 2 is potentially even better than the first, with massive cards coming for Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo and Sergio Ramos!
A mini-release will add three more players to the initial 11, with the following players now in packs:

- Sergio Ramos
- Timo Werner
- Stephan El Shaarawy
- Silas
- Jesus Corona
- Kieran Tierney
- Roberto Pereyra
- Marko Arnautovic
- Daley Blind
As well as the main squad coming to packs, the following players were released via SBC and objectives:
Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo joins his GOAT rival in the Shapeshifters event with a 99 OVR rating.
Maximum pace and shooting, with 90+ passing, dribbling and physicality will make him one hell of a card!
Marcelo
It's not the End of an Era version many were expecting, but this is another whopper of a card.
His stats are insane, and if you add an Anchor chem style to him he will be a perfect midfielder.
Sergio Ramos
Another defender changed to a striker and another one that will most likely be used as a CDM instead.
Sergio Ramos joins the 'Alisson Gang' with a card that boasts 90+ across all his base stats.
Timo Werner
Chelsea fans can rejoice, with EA now selecting players from their team for promos again.
Timo Werner is one of many cards released in this promo to be given maximum pace, so if you like rapid players, get him in your team.
Silas
A FUT fan-favourite, Silas has a bit of everything and can be deadly in front of goal.
He moves from the wing to a central position and can act as a pacey target man, standing at 6'2".
Shapeshifters
The Shapeshifters promo was first seen in FIFA 20, although it didn't reappear in FIFA 21, so we already knew what sort of mechanics to expect.
As always, the promo players will receive massive boosts, but they will also have their cards transformed, with changes coming to player positions, work rates, weak foot ability, and updated attributes to better suit their new position.
A squad will be released into packs, with a couple of objective players made available when the event kicks off, as well as a few SBCs coming throughout the campaign.
Shapeshifters had two squad releases in FIFA 20, and EA are set to match and possibly exceed that, with leaks saying Team 3 is on the way, and Team 4 could also join!
Release Date
The Shapeshifters promo launched on Friday, 17 June at 1pm ET / 6pm BST - the same time that the Ultimate TOTS rotated out of packs.
Team 2 replaced Team 1 in packs on Friday, 24 June at 1pm ET / 6pm BST, becoming available for a further week, before rotating out on Friday, 1 July.
