FIFA 22 Shapeshifters Team 3: Another TOP Hero joins the party in mini release

The Shapeshifters promo in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team has run into its third week, with three more players adding to the initial Team 3 release over the weekend.

Some of the world's best players have been included in the promo so far, including superstars Messi and Ronaldo.

As well as the regular attributes boost, each player included in the promo has also seen a change to their regular position, with prefered foot and skill moves altering too.

Shapeshifters

The Shapeshifters promo was first seen in FIFA 20, although it didn't reappear in FIFA 21, so we already knew what sort of mechanics to expect.

As always, the promo players will receive massive boosts, but they will also have their cards transformed, with changes coming to player positions, work rates, weak foot ability, and updated attributes to better suit their new position.

Three squads have now been released into packs, with a few objective players made available with each side, as well as some SBCs coming throughout the campaign.

Shapeshifters had two squad releases in FIFA 20, and EA has exceeded that, with Team 3 released, and leaks saying Team 4 could also join!

James Maddison (OVR 95)

The top-rated card from the Shapeshifters mini-release is Leicester City's James Maddison, who has received a brilliant new 95 OVR item.

He has brilliant passing and dribbling stats, with a great turn of pace and five-star skill moves, so he can dominate on the wing.

Giovanni Reyna (OVR 94)

Another man moving from CAM to the wing is Borussia Dortmund's young American, Giovanni Reyna.

At 6'1" you may think he could feel slightly cumbersome on the ball, but his maxed-out dribbling stats will soon put you right, including 99 Agility!

Jurgen Kohler (OVR 92)

The mini-release had another Shapeshifters Hero in store for us, with Jurgen Kohler moving from CB to CDM.

His dribbling stats have been increased massively, so he now has 97 Agility and 99 Balance, and if you add a Shadow chem style he gets 98 PAC and 98 DEF attributes too.
