FIFA 22: Summer Transfers NOW in Ultimate Team

FIFA 23 is just around the corner, but we still have a few weeks left to enjoy FIFA 22.

A recent update in Ultimate Team has included some summer transfers playing for their new clubs, giving you a chance to experience new squad building and test out potential FUT 23 starter squads.

Check out all the latest on the situation below.

Changing Allegiance

Many players have swapped clubs over the summer transfer window, and EA has reflected that change in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

On Wednesday, 17 August, an update in the game added over 800 additional base cards for players that now have a new team.

That means you can now use a Manchester City Erling Haaland, Inter Romelu Lukaku, and Real Madrid Antonio Rudiger in Ultimate Team.

Not only will this mean you can play around with potential starter squads to use in FUT 23 (although the chemistry system will be different), but it opens up more options when trying to complete SBCs.

Notable Exceptions

Despite plenty of players getting the club update, we have noticed a couple who have missed out in this first batch.

Robert Lewandowski still only has his Bayern Munich card in the game, with Manchester United's new defender Lisandro Martinez not included either.

We are expecting to see another updated batch soon, although there has been no announcement on when that could be.

Until then, Martinez will have to stay at Ajax, which could be a good thing judging off his performance against Brentford!

FIFA 23 Release Date

As confirmed during the reveal trailer, FIFA 23 will be fully released on Friday, 30 September.

Some will be able to access the game sooner than that via a possible Beta or Demo, then the Web App and Early Access.

Early access for pre-orders begins on Tuesday, 27 September for those who buy the Ultimate Edition of the game.

The 10-hour EA Play trial gives players a limited number of hours of gaming too and will begin at the same time as pre-order early access.
