February’s La Liga Player of the Month has come to FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, with the leakers proved right once again.

Thibaut Courtois has received a boosted card that you can bring to your club by completing his Squad Building Challenge, so check out his stats and how to unlock him below.

Lastest - Courtois Confirmed

After being leaked as the La Liga Player of the Month winner already, EA has now officially announced the award has gone to Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois.

With four clean sheets in four games, it's nice to see a defensive player recognised for their contribution to the team, even if fans were hoping for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Nabil Fekir to get an upgrade.

Brick Wall

Real Madrid are strong favourites for the La Liga title this year, with an eight-point lead at the top of the table.

They went unbeaten in February, with three wins and a draw, to maintain their authority in the league.

It's not surprising to see Thibaut Courtois claim the February Player of the Month winner, as the giant Belgian did not concede a single goal last month.

He is as solid as ever and has yet to miss a single minute of action since the start of the league.

Thibaut Courtois (OVR 91)

Start Date: Friday, 11 March

Expiry Date: Sunday, 10 April

SBC Requirements

You'll only need to submit one squad in order to unlock the 88-rated POTM Courtois card for your Ultimate Team.

The requirements are as follows:

  • Minimum one La Liga player
  • Minimum one TOTW player
  • Minimum 85 Team Rating
  • Minimum 65 Team Chemistry

Reward - 1 x POTM Thibaut Courtois

Worth it?

It can be hard to judge if it's worth bringing in a goalkeeper to your club, especially as you can pick up his Gold card for around 36k, as opposed to spending around 80k on Courtois' SBC.

He is one of the best keepers around, but Jan Oblak is slightly better if you're looking for a La Liga one, and is also cheaper.

If you don't have the coin to use, but have plenty of fodder - and want a La Liga goalie - then it could be worth investing in.

For us, we'd rather spend the coins and use the fodder on a better release.
