EA has now revealed the full Premier League TOTS shortlist, but to the shock of many fans, some BIG names and top-performers have missed out.
Take a look at the players who are unlucky to be emitted from the list of PL TOTS nominees.
Best of the rest
Arsenal duo Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Magalhaes are both extremely unlucky to be emitted from the shortlist of nominees.
The English attacking midfielder has 10 goals and 2 assists to his name, whilst the Brazilian centre half has been rock solid at the back for the Gunners.
Manchester City centre-back pairing John Stones and Aymeric Laporte are both unlucky to miss out on a place on the shortlist too, with both CBs playing to the highest level all season when called upon.
Watford summer signing Emmanuel Dennis has made a fantastic impact for the Hornets this season, despite struggling in the relegation zone.
The Nigerian has scored 10 goals and registered 6 assists so far this campaign and is unlucky to miss out.
Two more English central defenders who have not been included are Conor Coady and Marc Guehi.
Both England internationals have been excellent for their respective sides and would have expected to at least make the shortlist.
Bad luck Blues
EA has revealed the 40 nominees for the Premier League TOTS squad, but, there are no Chelsea players featuring among the nominees.
Reports suggest that this choice is due to the fact that currently, the owner of Chelsea is still Roman Abramovic despite the club having been confiscated by the English government and put up for auction.
Several Blues players are unlucky to miss out on a PL TOTS shortlist spot this year.
In goal, Edouard Mendy has enjoyed a fine season, which saw him gain a Team of the Year Honourable Mentions card.
Both Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger have been simply outstanding and either could have made the final XI.
Reece James is another who has developed into a brilliant full-back this season, providing a great attacking threat, but also being defensively solid enough to play in the back three when needed.
Mason Mount could be the most aggrieved with potentially missing out, as he has been on fire, with 10 goals and nine assists in the league.
Then there is N'Golo Kante, who is never far away from the conversation when speaking about the best players around, and who picked up a 96 OVR TOTY card.
