FIFA 22 Ultimate Team: Basic SBC's - How to unlock, cost & more

FIFA 22 is impending, with some of us lucky enough to have already got a look at the full game.

Speculation has been growing as to what to expect, with player rating teases coming at us over the last couple of weeks.

Read on to find out everything you need to know about the basic SBC's at the start of FUT on FIFA 22.

Early access

You can get Early Access to the game in a couple of ways.

If you are an EA Play subscriber you can get a 10-hour trial play on September 22 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST.

If you pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of the game you can get on from Monday, 27 September, before worldwide release on Friday, 1 October 2021.

SBC's

An SBC - or Squad Building Challenge - is one of the game modes within Ultimate Team.

You are tasked with building teams using players from your club, but with specific requirements.

This may be a cap on how many leagues or nations you can use, how much team chemistry you have to hit, the specific rarity of cards, and more.

By completing these challenges you get rewarded with packs, player picks, and other items to help you progress through the game.

The starting SBC's for FIFA 22 look to be the same as on 21, so completing them should be simple enough for returning players.

Let's Get Started

This group is broken up into three simple tasks and completing the group of SBC's will reward you with a Two Player Pack.

First Exchange

Requirements

• Exactly Bronze Players
• Number of Players in the Squad: 1

Rewards

Bronze Rewards Pack x 1 (Untradeable)

The Second Step

Requirements

• Min. Team Chemistry: 12
• Number of Players in the Squad: 3

Rewards

Bronze Pack x 1 (Untradeable)

The Third Step

Requirements

• Players from different Nations: Exactly 3
• Min. Team Chemistry: 17
• Number of Players in the Squad: 4

Rewards

Bronze Player Pack x 1 (Untradeable)

None of these tasks requires more than bronze cards, so make sure not to waste higher rarities.

Let's Move Forward

This group is also made up of three tasks and will reward you with a Gold Player Pick (Untradeable).

Defensive Development

Requirements

• Exactly Bronze Players
• Min. Team Chemistry: 8
• Number of Players in the Squad: 3

Gold CB Player Pick x 1

A Better Build Up

Requirements

• Exactly Bronze Players
• Min. Team Chemistry: 8
• Number of Players in the Squad: 3

Rewards

Gold CM Player Pick x 1

Advancing Attack

Requirements

• Exactly Bronze Players
• Min. Team Chemistry: 9
• Number of Players in the Squad: 3

Rewards

Gold ST Player Pick x 1

Again, only basic bronze cards are needed to complete these, and team chemistry needn't be worried about.

The rewards of gold players throughout the central roles will start getting your team shaping up.

League and Nation Basics

This group again contains three SBC's and will grant the reward of a Mixed Players Pack, which contains 4 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze players, with one of them being rare.

One League Attack

Requirements

• Players from different Leagues: Exactly 1
• Players from different Nations: Exactly 5
• Min. Team Chemistry: 45
• Number of Players in the Squad: 5

One Nation Midfield

Requirements

• Min. 3 Silver Players

Multi League and Nation

Requirements

• Players from different Clubs: Exactly 6

This group contains four SBC's and gifts a Premium Loan Player Reward Pack, which includes a player rated 85-90 OVR!

Brick Slots

Requirements

• Players from different Leagues: Exactly 2
• Players from different Nations: Exactly 2
• Min. Team Chemistry: 43
• Number of Players in the Squad: 2

Rewards

Bronze Pack x 1

43 chemistry looks like a lot, but you will find the squad already has four players locked in, so you need to match up with them.

The Correct Position

Requirements

• Players from different Leagues: Exactly 3
• Players from different Nations: Exactly 3
• Min. Team Chemistry: 12
• Number of Players in the Squad: 3

Rewards

Bronze Pack x 1

This build has players that need to fit in as a LF and RF, so you may need to use a position modifier to complete.

Perfect Links

Requirements

• Min. 2 Silver Players
• Max 2 Players from the same Club
• Max 2 Players from the same Nation
• Min. Team Chemistry: 40
• Number of Players in the Squad: 5

Rewards

Two Silver Players Pack x 1, 500 Coins

Loyal Lads

Requirements

• Players from different Leagues: Exactly 3
• Players from different Nations: Exactly 1
• Min. Team Chemistry: 30
• Number of Players in the Squad: 3

Rewards

Two Silver Players Pack x 1

This build requires you to use players with a loyalty bonus (either first owned or that you have played 10 games with) to hit the perfect 10 chemistry for each player.
