FIFA 22 Ultimate Team players have no motivation to play DEAD online modes

The online game modes in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team are absolutely dead at the moment!

The wide range of issues in FUT include the gameplay itself and also the low-value rewards from competing in online modes.

So, take a look at what we think EA can do to bring some excitement back to FUT below.

Online modes are DEAD in FUT 22

There seem to be a few reasons why players are not enjoying online modes in Ultimate Team anymore and popular FIFA content creator, Nick28T has shared his thoughts via Twitter...

Nick has gone from enjoying 20-30 games of FIFA 22 per day to now only playing one or two games, which he explains is down to the early patches that have DESTROYED the gameplay.

Besides the gameplay itself, one of the main issues in FUT 22 is that aside from FUT Champs, there really isn't much motivation to play online AT ALL.

The new Division Rivals system means that all we have to do is get to seven wins... and then we are done with that for the week...

EA has now started to introduce the Squad Foundation players, but most of the objectives are to be completed in Squad Battles and not in the online Live FUT Friendlies mode.

Some players are even getting fed up with FUT Champions rewards due to the lack of good TOTW cards and are just giving free wins away!

EA can bring excitement back to online modes

However, all hope is not lost, as we think there are a couple of simple ways EA could bring excitement back to online modes in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

Up FUT Draft rewards

I think we can all agree that FUT Draft is one of the most enjoyable game modes in Ultimate Team.

FUT Draft allows us to play with the very best players in Ultimate Team and try out new promo cards and even ICONs!

However, the issue with Draft at the moment is that the rewards simply aren't good enough to warrant you spending 15,000 coins on a token... unless you're the guy in the Tweet below...

The trouble is that, with the transfer market being at an all-time low for this stage in the game cycle, pretty much everything is worth nothing!

So, the pack rewards that we receive from competing in Draft have to improve in order to make the 15,000 investment worth it.

At the moment, even if you win the Draft, it is VERY difficult to break even after player sales.

EA could perhaps introduce the Ultimate Packs (125k Packs) if you win the final, or just up the rate of the Jumbo Rare Players Packs (100k Packs) if you go all the way, which will give you a much better chance at pulling a high-value card.

FUT Daily Knockout Tournament

As mentioned previously, one of the main issues in Ultimate Team is that there's really not much to do during the week in terms of online gameplay, aside from the seven Divison Rivals wins and qualifying for the Weekend League.

So, we think the introduction of a Daily Knockout Tournament in FUT would get the FIFA community VERY excited!

You'd need to qualify for the particular tournament the day before, and you'd receive certain player pick/pack rewards depending on how far you went (a bit like Draft).
