The new FUT Heroes for FIFA 23 have been revealed, all with a comic-inspired design thanks to the EA x Marvel partnership.
The ratings and base stats for the FIFA World Cup FUT Heroes have been unveiled so we can start speculating on which of those cards will be best in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

Take a look at who we think will be the best new FUT Heroes and what players will be villains, below.
Heroes
Of the 21 new FUT Heroes, we think there are seven that look a cut above the rest.
Gullit Gang
Three of them - Yaya Toure, Claudio Marchisio and Park Ji-Sung - are new members of the Gullit Gang, so their all-round abilities will clearly be very useful in the centre of the field.
Toure and Park have also been assigned to the Premier League, which will make them even more overpowered, giving extra chemistry to some of the best cards in the game.
Fearsome Forwards
Rudi Voller and Diego Forlan, the two highest-rated cards of the new set with 91 OVR, are obviously going to be top cards too.
Each has 90+ pace, shooting and dribbling, with decent physicality to boot (87 PHY in Voller's case).
They both look like well-rounded forwards who can offer a bit of everything, and even though they will offer a physical threat, neither should feel cumbersome in-game, as they are both under 6'0".
Dominating Defenders
La Liga has a few decent left-backs, however, apart from Ferland Mendy, none really suit the Ultimate Team meta.
Not to worry, though, as Joan Capdevila is here to save the day!
With 90 PAC and 87 DEF he has the speed to get up and down the wing, whilst still being defensively sound.
His other base attributes show that he will be comfortable on the ball too, everything you need from a modern full-back.
We've saved potentially the best for last, as we think Lucio could be a top-tier CB in FIFA 23.
The Brazilian will dominate duels, with 93 DEF and 90 PHY, and at 6'2" he should be able to battle with the best of them.
It is his speed that really elevates the card, with 83 PAC, giving us yet another quick Bundesliga CB.
Add a Shadow chemistry style to him and you've got a superb signing!
Villians
Unfortunately, we think some of the new cards won't be up to scratch to ever fit in the FUT 23 meta, and will ultimately end up as villains as opposed to heroes.
Done Dirty
We were so excited to see that Peter Crouch would be inducted as a FUT Hero, however, when his rating and stats were unveiled we felt deflated.
With an 86 OVR, he has the lowest rating of all the new FUT Heroes, and we can't say any of his base stats are that impressive either.
The beanpole striker was never going to be a very meta option in-game, but we had hoped for some better attributes so we could still use him effectively in FUT.
Maybe when his full stats are revealed his card will look better? We've got our fingers crossed!
League Let-downs
This feels a bit harsh, as both Wlodzimierz Smolarek and Saeed Al-Owairan's card stats look pretty great!
Smolarek is a pacey striker with top shooting and dribbling stats, who can pass the ball well and has some physical presence about him.
Al-Owairan has maximum pace, something FUT fans love, matched with brilliant dribbling ability to dance past defenders.
However, the guys come from the Polish and Saudi leagues, so are unlikely to see any play unless future objectives force you into using those leagues.
Whether it be the new chemistry system or the old, it will just be too detrimental to include these cards.
