The footballing season may be coming to an end, but not for those playing FIFA 23 Career Mode, who will still be on the lookout for the best young CMs in the game.
Signing a young talent can help you control the middle of the pitch for years to come, and there are a few standout youngsters that would be worth investing in.

FIFA 23 Best Young CMs for Career Mode
What makes someone eligible for this list? First, they have to have a primary position of a centre midfielder. CDMs and CAMs won't be found here, but you can find them in our other lists (more on that below).
That's not to say that these guys can't also fill in as a CDM or a CAM, just that they specialise in being a box-to-box player, not solely focussed on offensive of defensive duties.
We also take the age of a player into consideration. Only players that start FIFA 23 Career Mode aged between 20 and 24 will be included, with those younger than that falling into the wonderkid centre midfielders bracket.
The players on this list aren't just the best young centre midfielders around, they are also some of the best CMs in the game!
Federico Valverde (OVR 86 - POT 91)
Team: Real Madrid
Age: 23
Nation: Uruguay
If you want to get the best young centre midfielder in the game then look no further than Real Madrid's Federico Valverde.
The youngster has proved himself on the biggest stage time and time again, winning multiple trophies along the way, including La Liga and the Champions League!
Not only does he possess all the technical aspects needed to operate in the middle of the park, but his pace and physicality also give him the ability to dominate the opposition.
Bruno Guimaraes (OVR 84 - POT 87)
Team: Newcastle United
Age: 24
Nation: Brazil
One of the main men in Newcastle's side who helped regain European football for the club, Bruno Guimaraes is a smooth operator in the middle of the park.
More comfortable in a slightly more defensive role, the Brazilian can break down play and keep the tempo for your side.
He does have one major drawback, and that is his lack of pace.

He is a well-balanced player, with the only non-green stats being things you needn't worry about from a CM (crossing, finishing, heading accuracy, FK accuracy, jumping and penalties).
Orkun Kokcu (OVR 81 - POT 86)

Age: 21
Nation: Turkey
At just 21, Orkun Kokcu took on the club captaincy of Feyenoord and has led them on to an Eredivisie title!
A smaller, more agile player, he is best used as a playmaker, breaking down lines and whipping balls into the box.
We're not sure how much longer he will be at the Dutch side, with plenty of Europe's top clubs likely to come looking for his signature.
Ryan Gravenberch (OVR 79 - POT 88)
Team: Bayern Munich
Age: 20
Nation: Netherlands
Standing at 6'3", many assume that Ryan Gravenberch would be best used as a destructive CDM, however, a more attacking role actually suits the youngster.
He can glide across the pitch, possessing a grace not usually seen in those of his size, with top dribbling and ball control.
Of course, he has the physicality to get involved defensively, which allows him to operate between both boxes very effectively.
