FIFA 23 - EA mishap means you can BUY Winter Wildcard Swaps Token for 10k

With the Team of the Year (TOTY) promo coming over the horizon and the Winter Wildcard Swaps program currently running, there's plenty to get our teeth stuck into in FUT 23 at the moment.

Countless errors within FIFA 23 Ultimate Team means we are now almost just waiting for the next mistake from EA to surface.

Well, here it is. The latest EA mistake, however, could be a positive for the players chasing the top Winter Wildcard Swaps rewards.

EA mishap

Ultimate Team users have begun the Winter Wildcard Swaps grind, with 25 Tokens set to be made available to unlock over the course of the next few weeks.

As usual, every Token holds significant value as they can be used to claim giant rewards via the SBC menus.

This time, in what is absolutely unheard of from a Swaps program and can only be judged as an EA mishap, one of the Tokens has is tradeable!

The Token in question is the Winter Wildcard Connor Barron (OVR 60).

So, this effectively means you do not have to grind out Moments matches and earn 20 points - you can just head to the transfer market and pick yourself up a Swaps Token for 10,000 coins.

Of course, 10,000 coins are less valuable than 20 Moments points, so it seems crazy that certain individuals have been listing him on the market, but they have!

How to buy the 10k Token

Now, buying the tradeable Winter Wildcard Swaps Token is simple in theory, but much harder in reality.

You will have to 'snipe' the Winter Wildcard Barron if you want to get your hands on him for 10,000 coins.

The term 'snipe' refers to acquiring cards on the FUT transfer market for well below their market value or when they are extinct, often by completing multiple market searches in a short space of time.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to 'snipe' cards in FIFA 23:

• Use the search box and type the player's name.
• Check the average market value of the player you want to snipe.
• Adjust the Buy Now slider for slightly less than the player's market value (in this case, the max price is only 10,000 coins for WW Barron).
• Set the Maximum Price to 15,000,000.
• Keep adjusting the Maximum Price with L1 / LT and hitting search until a listing appears.
• Quickly try to buy the cheapest listing before it is sold.
