FIFA 23 will become available at different points for certain players, depending on a range of things, including subscriptions, and pre-orders.

If you want to find out how to get on the new game as soon as possible, learn everything you need to know about Early Access in FIFA 23 below.

Release Date and Times

As confirmed during the reveal trailer, FIFA 23 will be fully released on Friday, 30 September.

Some will be able to access the game sooner than that via a possible Beta or Demo, then Early Access and the Web App.

Early access for pre-orders begins on Tuesday, 27 September for those who buy the Ultimate Edition of the game.

The 10-hour EA Play trial gives players a limited number of hours of gaming too and will begin at the same time as pre-order early access.

Major Changes to 10-hour Trial

Unlike in previous years, when the EA Play 10-hour Trial went live nine days before the worldwide release of FIFA, it will now only be three days before release.

As stated on the EA website:

If you pre-order FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition or have EA Play Pro, you can get in the game three days early starting on September 27, 2022. EA Play members can begin their 10-hour trial at this time, too.

This means that if you're an EA Play member and want to try before you buy, you can access the full game for free at the same time as those who purchased the Ultimate Edition.

If you’re an EA Play member, you can play a 10-hour trial of FIFA 23 starting September 27 on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox. You’ll get ten hours of playtime total, and your trial progress carries over if you decide to buy the full game with your 10% membership discount.

We're not sure why EA has decided to change things this year, but it will likely lead to a fair few disgruntled customers!

Web and Companion App

The FIFA 23 Web App - which doesn't require any subscription - looks to be the earliest point in which you can fully access FIFA 23.

The Web App will give you unlimited access to FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, allowing you to open packs, use the transfer market, complete SBCs and build your team.

If recent years are anything to go by, the Web App will launch roughly a week before FIFA 23, with Wednesday, 21 September a possible date for release.

Ultimate Edition

The last big opportunity to get early access is for those who purchased the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23, which will give you unlimited access to the game four days before the worldwide release of the regular edition.

That means you will no longer need to worry about making the most of your 10-hour trial time, and can really get stuck into the game.

The Ultimate Edition will come at a greater price than the Standard Edition but comes with additional perks as well as early access.

FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition Pre-order Perks
