FIFA 23: League CHAMPIONS set to feature for the FIRST TIME EVER

FIFA 23 is just around the corner, with a host of brand new features being revealed by EA Sports over the last few weeks.

EA has just announced a number of new team licenses and stadia arriving in FIFA 23, with some of football's most iconic venues appearing for the first time.

We've also had a reveal for a brand new team arriving in FIFA 23, with this side set to make their debut in the FIFA series.

Brand New Team Arrives

As part of EA's recent announcement on the 'unrivalled authenticity' set to feature in FIFA 23, a brand new team was announced.

Mamelodi Sundowns F.C will feature in FIFA 23 for the very first time, with the current South African title holders set to make their debut in the series.

FIFA does not presently own the rights to the South African league, so they will likely join fellow side Kaizer Chiefs in the 'Rest of the World section' of FIFA 23.

Who are Mamelodi Sundowns F.C?

Mamelodi Sundowns F.C - also known as the Sundowns - are a South African football club that in the 21/22 season was crowned champions a record 12th time.

Playing their games in an iconic yellow and green kit, the Mamelodi Sundowns have been nicknamed the Brazilians and will be hoping to bring some Samba flair to FIFA 23.

The side has a mightily impressive history, capturing 12 top flight titles since its inception in 1996.

It's a brand new team in FIFA, and may just showcase that EA isn't afraid to delve into unknown markets to provide brand new content.
