FIFA 23 Leicester City Ratings: TOUGH season ahead with many DOWNGRADES

FIFA 23 will be released soon, and it won't be long until we get our first look at some of the brand-new ratings for each team.

Check below to see our predictions for how Leicester City could look in this year's game, with the ratings being used throughout the Ultimate Team season and at the start of Career Mode.

Top Players

Leicester City had a bit of a mixed season last campaign, however, still managed to finish eighth in the Premier League, get to the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League, and won the Community Shield.

However, with no improvements to the squad, the previous Prem champions could be in trouble ahead of FIFA 23, and we predict their three highest-rated stars to be:

Jamie Vardy (OVR 86)

FANTASTIC FOX - Vardy is still the main threat in Leicester's attack

Injury hampered some of Jamie Vardy's season, but he still had an impressive return of 17 goals in 33 games.

We expect to see the 35-year-old maintain his 86 OVR rating, but that could start to drop in updates if he doesn't find the net quickly or gets injured again.

Youri Tielemans (OVR 84)

A much-wanted man, Leicester will do well to keep hold of Youri Tielemans for another season.

Again, we don't see a rating change for him going into FIFA 23, so he should boast an 84 OVR.

Wilfred Ndidi (OVR 83)

DROPPING DOWN - Ndidi is unlikely to maintain his 85 OVR in FIFA 23

We were surprised to see Wilfred Ndidi handed an 85 OVR at the start of FIFA 22, and in updates that has been reduced to 84 OVR.

He could get another hit before FIFA 23, so don't be taken aback if he appears with an 83 OVR.

Transfers

The main talking point for Leicester City is the lack of transfers, which could leave them struggling in the league.

It looks likely that they will lose more players before any new ones arrive, with Wesley Fofana and Youri Tielemans linked with moves away.

Kasper Schmeichel is a massive departure, not just for his ability between the sticks, but also for his leadership on the field.

The one exception could be Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who saw a decent amount of play-time as he made his way into regular first-team football.

Downgrades

We've already said that Ndidi looks to be in for a downgrade, and he will likely be joined by quite a few others.

INJURY PRONE - Lack of games will affect Pereira's rating

Unfortunately, Ricardo Pereira's regular injuries mean he can't maintain the 84 OVR rating handed to him, so expect that to drop by at least one, and possibly two points.

Other defenders Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu and Jannik Vestergaard are all candidates for a downgrade, as are Harvey Barnes and Ayoze Perez.
