FIFA 23 MLS Ratings: New signings will make the USA a MAJOR player in FUT

FIFA 23 is getting closer every day, and the highly-anticipated ratings reveal will be coming soon.

One league that we will be keeping an eye on is over in the USA as some big names have travelled across the pond this summer.

While the ratings in the MLS may not be high from the outset, we are sure to get some terrific special items throughout the season in FUT 23.

Lorenzo Insigne (OVR 85)

Italian winger Lorenzo Insigne is our favourite to be the highest-rated MLS player in FIFA 23.

Insigne boasted a tally of 20 goal involvements for Napoli last season, and an 85 OVR should see him at the top of the pile.

Giorgio Chiellini (OVR 84)

A true veteran, Giorgio Chiellini will certainly see a downgrade to his FUT 22 rating, but he should still rank among the best in the MLS.

A starting rating of 84 seems fair for the Italian legend, but we do see this sliding down as the season progresses.

Gareth Bale (OVR 81)

Gareth Bale has settled into LA life already, speaking plenty of Spanish to his teammates and already finding the net against Kansas City.

Expect to see at least one special item for Bale in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, in particular a Flashback SBC, Ones to Watch, or World Cup-themed item.

Carlos Vela (OVR 81)

Last season's top player, Carlos Vela has seen his 83 OVR drop in squad updates throughout the FIFA 22 cycle.

The Mexican winger will still be one of the best, but his reign at the top looks to be over.

Hector Herrera (OVR 81)

Vela's Mexican compatriot Hector Herrera is another classy player to swap Europe for the USA.

The former Atletico Madrid star will slide right into the MLS' top 10 players, and possibly even the top five!

Douglas Costa (OVR 80)

Brazilian winger Douglas Costa has hardly lit up the MLS, scoring just twice in his first 16 appearances for LA Galaxy.

However, we still expect him to be one of the league's top-rated players, and a special item for Costa is sure to excite fans with probable 5-star skill moves.

Carles Gil (OVR 80)

With an MLS MVP award to his name, Carles Gil will certainly stake a claim to be among the league's best in FIFA 23.

Operating in a CAM role, Gil was awarded a 95 OVR Team of the Season item in FUT 22, so we could see something similar next season.

Federico Bernardeschi (OVR 79)

The third Italian on the list and another new arrival in the league, Federico Bernardeschi will be linking up with Insigne at Toronto.

Bernardeschi hit the ground running with a goal and an assist on his debut and is another star with real pedigree.

Lucas Zelarayan (OVR 79)

After switching national allegiances to Armenia, Lucas Zelarayan may not be the easiest player to link in Ultimate Team.

However, he is still one of the top creative players in the league and will almost certainly feature in the MLS top 10.

Javier Hernandez (OVR 79)

A familiar face to many, Javier Hernandez is one of the MLS' premiere marksman with goals scored all over the world.

Chicharito has seen a slight boost to his rating in FIFA 22, so we expect a 79 OVR to arrive for him in FIFA 23.
