FIFA 23 Ultimate Team Season 2 Delayed - World Cup content made to wait

The World Cup is nearly upon us, and that means brand-new tournament-themed content coming to FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

With the official FIFA World Cup DLC now available to download in FIFA 23, players can start getting excited for one of the world's greatest sporting events.

It's not all good news though, as fans will have to wait a little longer for any World Cup content to arrive in FUT 23.

Season 2 Delay

EA has confirmed via its FIFA Direct Communication page on Twitter that the arrival of FUT Season 2 has been delayed.

This does mean that Season 1 has been extended, giving you more time to complete objectives, FUT Moments, and obtain rewards from the Star Gallery.

The new end date for Season 1 is Friday, 11 November, with the change happening at 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.

Season 2 will follow directly on at this time, with the World Cup Path to Glory promo event beginning at the same time.

What's next?

We know that a host of World Cup content is on the way, with the Path to Glory event the first to kick off Season 2.

The World Cup will be the theme for the duration of FUT Season 2, with several brand-new promo events taking place.

We will also see World Cup Heroes introduced to the game for the first time, while some new Icon Moments will also be released for the first time.

There will also be new World Cup player items that are only available during Season 2, so look out for these bonus players in packs.
