FIFA 23 - When is the free pre-order FUT Hero coming out?

EA is rolling out the Ultimate Team content in FIFA 23 and FUT fanatics can't get enough of it.

With winter rolling around, it's finally time for the long-awaited free FUT Heroes to be released for those of you that pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition.

So, find out when your free FUT Hero will be released in Ultimate Team below.

Release Date

To be entitled to the free FUT Hero, you will need to have pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23 on or before Sunday, 21 August.

The pre-order FUT Hero will be released into Ultimate Team on Friday, 11 November.

We expect the FUT Hero pack to arrive in your account by 1pm ET / 6pm BST on the day of release.

FUT Heroes explained

FUT Heroes are players who didn't make it to the rank of FIFA 23 Icons.

However, FUT Heroes are stars who have made a major impact in their clubs or leagues and are associated with one specific event.

For example, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer received his Hero card for his UEFA Champions League final-winning goal for Man United in 1999.

For each new FUT Hero in FIFA 23, there are two versions of their FUT Hero item: a base version and a FIFA World Cup version.

The normal version celebrates them for club moments whilst the upgraded World Cup version celebrates their special international moments.
