FIFA 23 has been well and truly taken over by the 2022 Qatar World Cup, with EA dropping daily SBC and Objective content in Ultimate Team.
Alongside the grindable content, EA has introduced several different World Cup card types into FUT and it's time for a brand new set of special items to join the party!
As you probably know by now, the next batch of promotional cards will be named the 'World Cup Phenoms' squad.
So, find out when the World Cup Phenoms items will hit FUT 23 below.
Release Date
The World Cup Phenoms promo squad will be released on Friday, 9 December, replacing the World Cup Stories items in packs immediately.
You can expect the Phenoms cards to hit packs at the usual time of 1pm et / 6pm GMT on release day.
The World Cup Phenoms cards will be available in packs for exactly one week only, at which point they will be replaced by a fresh set of special items.
World Cup Special Items
EA has already released the following World Cup card types into FUT 23:
Path to Glory items were the first World Cup cards to hit packs. These are live items that receive upgrades based on their nation’s progress in the tournament.
The Road to the World Cup squad celebrated the stars who inspired their nations in qualification for the tournament.
This squad included the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Heung Min Son and Luka Modric.
The World Cup Stories squad recognises headline contributions from certain players on the world’s biggest stage, including Virgil van Dijk, Gareth Bale, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.
