FIFA 24 Icons - Five stars that NEED to be added

FIFA 24 is just around the corner, with the arrival of EA Sports FC set to signal the start of a new era.

With the first details beginning to come clear, we can now take a look ahead and start to assess what we want to see in the new game.

David Villa

An Iconic striker of the 21st century, David Villa guided the likes of Barcelona and Spain to great success.

Villa was part of the deadly Barcelona side that shone under Pep Guardiola, and he also was a key figure in Spain's 2010 World Cup win.

A true legend of Spanish football who remains the country's top scorer, it's about time Villa is given the recognition he deserves.

Gareth Bale

From a Spanish legend to a figure that divided the nation, there's little doubt that Gareth Bale is up there as one of the best British players of all time.

Recently retiring from club and international football, Bale has started a career in golf, but that doesn't mean EA can't celebrate the success of this Welsh superstar.

Starring for Spurs and Madrid, claiming 5 Champions League medals and becoming one of the great heroes of Wales, Bale is fully deserving of an Icon card in FIFA 24.

Jimmy Greaves

With Harry Kane surpassing the goalscoring record of this man in recent weeks, there's no doubt that we also need to acknowledge the accomplishments of Jimmy Greaves.

An incredible striker who will always be remembered as a Tottenham legend, Greaves shone for club and country and will remain a prominent figure in English football heritage for some time.

A star that cannot be forgotten, we'd love to see Greaves be given an Icon card in FIFA 24.

Francesco Totti

The true definition of a one-club man, Francesco Totti is an Italian sensation who had it all.

Roma's second son and an icon of Italian football, Totti oozed class on the pitch and will always be remembered for his moments of magic when his side needed it most.

It's been far too long since Totti appeared in FIFA and we're very much missing his presence, so with that in mind we think it's time he returned in his iconic form.

Alfredo Di Stefano

Our final pick is Alfredo Di Stefano, a true footballing legend who continues to be remembered as the original Real Madrid galactico.

A goalscoring superstar whose name is still sung by the Madrid fans to this day, Di Stefano was considered at one point to be in the same bracket as legends like Maradona and Pele.

An icon of the sport and one grossly overlooked in FIFA, we think this man is the perfect candidate to become a certified legend in FIFA 24.
