Sometimes it's an underrated card that can truly set your Ultimate Team on fire, and this is certainly the case when it comes to this particular offering.

A legend of the game who made himself a hero at multiple, it's hard not to love this man, and it was impossible not to love this FIFA 14 card.

Jermain Defoe (IF) - FIFA 14

FIFA 14 was the year of the finesse shot and this in-form Jermain Defoe card was the perfect exploiter of this mechanic.

Playing for FC Toronto in MLS at the time, the only negative to this card was that it was difficult to link for chemistry.

Other than that, this sensational offering from one of the Premier League's most unique forwards was a delight to use.

Cutting in from the left and angling shots into the far corner has never been more joyous, and this card certainly knew how to exploit every little angle in the game.

As someone that enjoys scoring screamers in FIFA, this card provided endless fun and delight, making it the perfect card for progression, but also a brilliant end-game card that allowed Defoe to simply become a human highlight reel.

What Happened to Jermain Defoe?

The storied career of Jermain Defo is one of great inspiration, with the incredibly talented forward making a name for himself around the world.

Starting out at West Ham in 1999, Defoe only retired in 2022 after a short spell with Sunderland.

Amassing well over 600 appearances as a player, Defoe was a hero for both club and country, scoring 20 goals in 57 appearances for the Three Lions.

Nowadays, Defoe is back at Tottenham, acting as both a club ambassador and academy coach, raising the next generation of superstars that will hopefully continue the trend of deadly finesse shot-takers in FIFA.
