The latest instalment of FIFA will be the last under the partnership between EA Sports and FIFA itself.
After this release, all future games will cease using the FIFA name or branding, and the World Cup will also cease being a part of it as an official FIFA event.

What will FIFA 24 be called?
What would have been FIFA 24 will now be named 'EA Sports FC'.
"EA SPORTS FC will allow us to realize this future and much more…but not before we deliver our most expansive game ever with our current naming rights partner, FIFA, for one more year," said EA Sports in the company's official statement ahead of the release of FIFA 23.
"EA SPORTS FC will become the future of football from EA SPORTS. Alongside our 300+ license partners across the sport, we’re ready to take global football experiences to new heights, on behalf of all football fans around the world."
How will EA Sports FC differ from FIFA?
EA stated that everything the fans "love about our games will be part of EA SPORTS FC the same great experiences, modes, leagues, tournaments, clubs and athletes will be there."
EA has confirmed that the following FIFA game modes will feature in EA Sports FC:
As well as the game modes, EA's unique licensing portfolio of more than 19,000 players, 700 teams, 100 stadiums and 30 leagues will remain in the game as it becomes EA Sports FC.
This includes exclusive partnerships with the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and the MLS.
