Will there be a FIFA 23?

FIFA 22 is still going strong with promo and SBC content coming thick and fast in Ultimate Team.

However, amid social media rumours, fans are wondering whether EA will be releasing another title in the FIFA franchise.

So, find out whether there will be a FIFA 23 right here.

Will there be a FIFA 23?

A recent report from VGC claimed that EA CEO Andrew Wilson had told staff that FIFA has been "an impediment" to the company, further supporting an impending split.

In the same article, there was also news about the release of FIFA 23, something we weren't sure would even be happening given the current situation between the two parties.

VGC had all "comments provided anonymously" to them, so while nothing is yet set in stone, it looks likely that a new FIFA game will be coming.

In the article, VGC stated:

VGC understands EA is currently planning to release this year’s game as FIFA 23 and include two FIFA World Cup tournaments – the men’s and women’s events – for the first time.

As the current naming deal EA has with FIFA expires after this year’s Qatar World Cup, the timeframe for another EA/FIFA game checks out.

This means that a FIFA 23 release in September could be the last in the franchise.

Will there be a FIFA 23 Demo?

EA has not yet confirmed whether we'll be getting a FIFA 23 Demo this year, but we can have a pretty good guess by judging off of what was released for FIFA 22.

There was no free FIFA 22 Demo to download on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X, or PC.

GONE ARE THE DAYS - We don't expect FIFA Demos to return any time soon

Instead, EA provided fans with 10-hour and 20-hour trials, courtesy of their EA Play app.

We expect the same to be the case for FIFA 23, which means you will be able to access the full game for both time limits, but you will also need to pay a small fee to enjoy it.
