Tall players can be useful in both offence and defence. Offensively, a good target man should be tall and strong, with an excellent jumping reach and heading. The same counts for defenders, particularly no-nonsense centre-backs. Those defenders usually join the attack during set-pieces and can be helpful in front of the opposing goal.

For the goalkeepers, who are normally among the tallest players in football, height matters because it helps them in preventing crosses to meet opposing forwards. He started his career in the Danish side Frem, where he registered over 50 appearances. Most recently, Simon Bloch Jorgensen played for Waltham Abbey F.C., a team in the Southern League Division One Central.

Marcos Vitor previously played for the Brazilian minnows Batatais Futebol Clube. He started his career at America Mineiro and later played for AD Sanjoanense and CF Uniao Serpense before joining Batatais.

Daniele Menchetti

This veteran centre-back spent most of his career at US Castiglionese 1919. He left the club in 2018 and joined Sinalunghese and then Castel Piano, but returned to his old team in 2022.

Quentin Depre

Quentin Depre is a French defensive midfielder, who is currently without a club. Before becoming a free agent, Depre played at Sainte-Geneviève Sports.

Kyle Hudlin

The only forward on the tallest players in FM24 list, Kyle Hudlin is also the highest-profile player on it. Currently at Huddersfield Town, the 23-year-old striker began playing football at Solihull. He then went to Solihull Moors before coming to Huddersfield. Hudlin spent the previous season on loan at AFC Wimbledon, where he scored four goals in 18 matches.
