Fortnite Season 6: How to buy and use Rifts

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is well underway now, with the new season completely overhauling most aspects of the game.

The new season has brought huge changes to the map, taking it back in time, with basic weapons and an emphasis on hunting.

One popular item has returned...kind of.

Here is how to buy, and use Rifts, in Season 6.

How To Buy Rifts

Rifts have returned to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, but this time they can't be used as items, instead players need to purchase a Rift using Gold Bars which is used instantly.

To use the Rift it costs 245 Gold Bars, so its not something that can be done all the time, unless you're very efficient at collecting Gold Bars.

There are multiple Characters on the map that allow players to Rift.

Since the season is new we're unsure of how many Characters have this option, but we do know that Raz at Colossal Crops and Cabbie at Lazy Lake sell Rifts.

To kick Season 6 off, players need to take part in the Zero Crisis event, which sees Agent Jonesy try and save the Fortnite island by stabilising the Zero Point.

The event is split into two parts, with the first being cinematic, while the second is in-game.

You'll need to jump into the game to play the in-game section.
