When are dinosaurs coming to Fortnite Season 6?

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 has seen the game go Primal, taking the map back to the stone age, or perhaps even further.

Since its launch there has been teasers and rumours that dinosaurs are coming to the game, now it looks like they could be coming sooner rather than later.

Dinosaurs In Fortnite

Season 6 saw the map go back in time with the new hunting and crafting mechanics, as well as a more stripped back loot pool consisting of Primal and Mechanical weapons.

It also looks like dinosaurs will be making their way to the game too.

The 16.00 update saw mysterious eggs appear on the map, sparking rumours that dinosaurs would be coming.

Now, those eggs are beginning to crack and are getting ready to hatch.

Fortnite dataminers have also found animations and coding relating to dinosaurs too, confirming that the eggs do contain dinosaurs.

What This Means

With the addition of hunting and taming Wildlife it is likely these will become a new form of Wildlife on the map, likely much strongers than the current WIldlife.

Right now Wildlife drop Bones and Meat, Bones can be used to craft Primal weapons.

It is likely that Dinosaurs will drop the same, maybe it larger amounts, or it is possible a new type of crafting item will be dropped which could means new weapons are coming soon.

They will also likely be able to be tamed and fight alongside players as they try and secure the Victory Royale.

There is also a possibility that players could ride them them after taming as new form of utility.

Chickens can be grabbed and used to float in the air, similar to The Legend of Zelda, making them one of the few forms of mobility in Season 6, so dinosaurs could provide that extra rotation option.

When Are Dinosaurs Coming?

With the eggs beginning to hatch we would estimate that they aren't too far away, although Epic Games has been known to drag things out.

But, it is possible they could come as soon as next week's 16.10 update, or if not then likely the 16.20 update in around 3 weeks time.
