This extends to the theme that Chapter 3, Season 1 will adopt. Arguably, the Invasion and Cubed themes have been on the higher end of the quality scale. It's only right that we end Chapter 2 on a high without needing to create a clean slate for the next adventure.
LATEST - Trailer leaked!
A short-form trailer for Fortnite Chapter 3 has leaked from an advert intended for TikTok. At just 30 seconds long, it reveals quite a bit without being explicit. It's certainly left us hype for 'The End' event!
Chapter 3 Confirmed
Fortnite has made it official that Chapter 2 is coming to an end on Saturday, 4 December. 'The End' event will take place and leave us with the same Black Hole scenario from when Chapter 1 ended.
Possible Chapter 3, Season 1 Themes
One prediction that's quite uniform across the community is that The Foundation will play a role at the end of Chapter 2. This could lead to them playing a major role at the beginning of Chapter 3.
What better way to start a new chapter than with a season named 'Foundations'. This would see the theme centred around The Foundation NPC and their objectives as part of The Seven.
For those who don't know, The Seven are a group whose goal is to stop the Imagined Order and also free the Zero Point while ending The Loop. A lot of these objectives are unlikely to be achieved any time soon just because ending The Loop would essentially end the existence of the Battle Royale format.
The Zero Point, however, has been a plot device before and could return in Chapter 3. It currently sits underneath The Bridge which is also where the Imposters LMT takes place. Within The Bridge, the IO currently control everything about the loop including supply chests, weapons and even the loot llamas.
This story could easily begin to develop in Chapter 3 and Season 1 taking on a Foundations theme would make sense as the loopers attempt to regain control of the Zero Point from the IO.
