Fortnite Next Gen Starter Pack: PS5 and Xbox Series X Players To Get Exclusive Skin Bundle

Fortnite launched on day 1 on the next generation of consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, meaning players could immediately jump back into the game on their new systems.

Now owners of the next gen consoles will be getting their own exclusive skin to purchase.

Next Gen Starter Pack

In the 15.20 update that went live today, a new cosmetic set was added titled the "Next Gen Starter Pack".

Each season we see a new Starter Pack added to the game, these usually cost $3.99/£3.19 and players get a skin, and a selection of cosmetics from a pickaxe, back bling, glider etc.

Players also receive 600 V-Bucks in the pack, making it incredible value for money.

In the past we have also seen console exclusive skins, mainly on the PS4, for players of those systems.

Owners of the PS5/Xbox Series X|S will be able to purchase the Next Gen Starter Pack, which will include the Ruby Shadows skin, Sky Shadow glider, and Shadow Slicer pickaxe.

Release Date

Right now there has been no official confirmation of its release by either Epic Games or leakers.

With it being added in the 15.20 update we can expect it to be released soon, possibly over the next few days.

Price

The price of the bundle is not known right now, but being a Starter Pack it is likely it will cost $3.99/£3.19.

TheGrefg Icon Skin

Spanish streamer and YouTuber, TheGrefg, will be the next creator to receive their own Icon Series skin in Fortnite.

TheGrefg revealed the skin earlier this week, smashing live stream viewership records with over 2.3 million viewers tuning in live.

The bundle will be released on Saturday January 16th and will cost 2,000 V-Bucks for the skin, and 3,000 V-bucks for the full bundle.

A Floor Is Lava LTM tournament will be taking place on January 14th and 15th, with top ranking players earning the skin bundle.

January 14ths event will be Squads, while 15th will be Solos.
