Following the leak, which we'll get into down below, Epic Games have officially revealed the event and its start date.

"With the Mothership’s sights set on the Imagined Order’s secret base at Corny Complex, Slone has hatched a plan to end the Invasion once and for all. You’ve answered her calls, worked as an undercover agent for the IO - now it’s time to infiltrate The Last Reality and put a stop to the Alien’s occupation."

The playlist will be available 30 minutes before the start, so be sure to jump in with plenty of time to spare.

Epic has now confirmed the date of the event as September 12, starting at 4pm ET.

The excellent @HYPEX on Twitter was also leaked that a countdown for the Operation Skyfire event will begin in-game today, at 3pm BST/11am ET.

It will apparently match up with the official reveal of the event. Hypex also suggests that the event will take place at 4pm EST/9pm BST on that date of the event.

As soon as we spot the countdown in-game, we'll let you know what it looks like and where to find it.
